Sanitation is more important than political independence- Mahatama Gandhi
Diarrheal disease is the second leading cause of death of children under the age of 5 to the extent that the illness takes away 7,60,000 lives of this demography annually. India, at the 2nd position after Afghanistan, experiences 13% of U5MR deaths due to diarrhea.
Diarrhea can easily be prevented by adopting adequate sanitation measures and using clean potable water. Bearing this in mind, IIM Lucknow annual fest Manfest-Varchasva along with Exponential Interactive presents Yajna in association with Save the Children. A unique case study competition that will test not just the strategy that the participants can build while in the comfort of their homes, but will also expose them to the hardships of the rural life to see how far they are able to implement and further research to improvise on their current thoughts.
An engaging and enriching experience, this contest promises to change how we as individuals approach social issue and will attempt in the best possible way to alter perspective about the same.
